Cigaroma Ricky Ricardo was my inspiration for the cigar hombre of our fictional Cabana Republic. This project was a lot of fun especially since the scope of this project gave me an opportunity to bring in fellow designers and illustrators, as well as Cal Poly alumni, Jeanette Aramburu and Timothy Harris. The Aromador was a container/humidor that allowed the cigar afficiando to infuse cigars with liquors.
Blackhawk Grille Restaurant & Bar The brand development for this upscale restaurant; in San Ramon, California; borrowed inspiration from both the antique automobile museum, located next door, and the feathers of the local raptor for which the restaurant was named. While designing the front entry doors I developed the "BG" monogram for use as pulls. My Creative Director, Rick, decided we needed to employ the monogram on barware, linens, and interior elements throughout the restaurant. Fortunately, the architect agreed with him.
Bittersweet Bistro Farmer's Market We all have a favorite project. This is mine. I was asked to design a logo for a farmer's market run at a local restaurant. The solution needed to co-exist with the well recognized, existing Bittersweet logotype. The illustration is whimsical and fun but still looks like an extension of the more formal script.
Garrahan Off-Road Training Dirt Biking looks pretty fun and this team is a bunch of young, go-getters looking to make their mark in dirt lore. The brochure will be used as a self-mailer and promotional tool to inspire new sponsors looking for a winning group of kids.
